Workshop on “Cloud Computing”
Workshop on “Cloud Computing” is being organized by Dr. Ritika on Saturday August 2, 2013 under CSI Dehradun Chapter banner. Dr. Sudhanshu Joshi from Doon University, Dehradunspoke on cloud computing in which Cloud Computing Segments, Applications, Storage, Connectivity and Cloud Computing Deployment etc. topics was discussed which helped in upgradation of the knowledge of students.
Workshop on “Android Application development on sensors”
A workshop on “Android” is being organized by Dr. Ritikaon 14 September, Saturday.Speaker Mr. KeshavJha,
BE from SRSIT, Banglore from CetpaInfotech Pvt. Ltd. has discussedhow sensors are
capable of providing raw data with high precision and accuracy as well as how it is useful if somebody wants to monitor three-dimensional device movement or positioning, or how to monitor changes in the ambient environment near a device. Approx 65 students of MCA (2nd&3rd year) has participated.
Workshop on “Android”
Computer Society of India (CSI) is the largest, non–profit association of IT professionals in India,that started in the year 1965. CSI Dehradun chapter has organized two days (10-11 Oct) workshop on “Android” by CetpaInfotech Pvt. Ltd at DIT University Dehradun. Participants are computer Application students in the workshop. Event has been Inaugurated by lighting of lamp by Dr. B. V. Babu Pro Vice Chancellor DIT University, Prof. Shishir Kumar Director Academics Administration, Dr. Ritika Head MCA and Chairman CSI Dehradun chapter and Dr. T N JowharScientist-F Wadia Institute of Geophysics and Vice Chairman CSI Dehradun Chapter. Workshop has been divided in four sessions which basically gives hands on practical exposure to develop android applications.

World Conference on Advances in Communication and Control Systems - CACCS 2013
The first world conference of DIT University ‘Advances in Communication and Control Systems - CACCS 2013’ was th th held at DIT University from 6 to 8 April, 2013.
The conference was aimed at providing a forum for engineering professionals to discuss and present the latest in Green Communication Networks, Instrumentation and Human Interface Technology. Renowned experts were invited to present research papers in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
A total of 347 papers were received out of which 143 papers were selected for publication in Atlantis Press, France (in collaboration with SpringerLink) which would be indexed at: Compendex/EI, ISI, Proceeding (CPCI), JCRThomson Reuters, Proquest, Ulrichweb, Citeseer, DOAJ, Google Scholar, NASA USA, Cornell University, Informatics open-J Gates, Scientific Commons, Worldcat, National Library of Swedan, Harward University, University of Washington, Universitat Karisruhe, Pennsylvania State University, USA and the like.

Students personality development and grooming: To ascertain, plan, co-ordinate and organizeStudent’s personality development and grooming for:
Online test for assessment of student strength for suitability for employment.Campus PlacementThe potential employers are shortlisted on the basis of students discipline and there interests and market research. They are then contacted and invited to the campus in accordance with our accepted policy and priorities. It fulfills dual purposes, one for students securing their future career, and industry securing the best fresh talents available in the region.Industry MeetCell organizes industrial meet at the institute. Two such meets were organized by the CELL. Both the meets proved fruitful for the students, faculty and the industry personnel.Expert LecturesCell organizes expert lecture series during seminar or at the department level in coordination with student organizations. Such lectures familiarize the students and the faculty with the state - of - art industry practices and their correlation with the textbook material.Industrial Training for the StudentsTraining is the integral part of the study to acknowledge them for real world problems. Students are placed at various industries for 6 to 8 weeks and under supervision and guidance of respective industry personnel. The faculty carries out monitoring and evaluation regularly.Industrial Visit – Study TourIn each semester, industry visits of the students with faculty members are organized to the relevant industries at various locations. It serves the objective of exposure to large-scale practical applications of theoretical aspects for the students.Student ProjectsStudents prepare the projects reflecting the needs and problems of the industry. Institute faculty interacts with industry personnel for successful implementation of such projects.Training for the FacultyFaculty is deputed to the industry to gain firsthand experience on industrial plants and processes. This exposure enhances the teaching capability of the faculty and allows them to enrich their classroom delivery.Career Orientation ProgramProgrammes to orient students about industry expectations are organized. Additional seminars are undertaken by the students in each semester to improve learning in the areas like Literature Survey, Personality Development, Group Discussion and Presentation Skills. Moreover, opportunities of Technologies for communication skills enhancement are provided.Entrepreneurship development cell (EDC)We are running entrepreneurship development cell with grant from EDI and DST. The program is meant for encourage student to be an entrepreneur. Special efforts are on to establish incubation cell with funding from central govt. agencies to provide logistic as well as financial support. |
