Computer Science and Informantion Technology
 Formed in 1965, today the Computer Society of India (CSI) has 70 chapters all over India, 418 student branches, and more than 90000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians. CSI branch was established in 2010 in DIT University and today it's strength is around 400 student members. The mission of the CSI DIT chapter is to facilitates research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT professionals, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the industry and helping them to integrate into the IT community .
INSPIRING MIND (Student Club-CSE/IT)
“Inspiring Mind” was founded by CSE/IT students on 6th January 2014.The aim of this club is to provide basic knowledge on project development. It is mandatory for 3rd year students while optional for 2nd year students. Total participants are around 480 students.The founder members of the club are Gagan Pratap Chauhan(President),Monika Singh, Naman Jain. And the working members of the club are Divita Shekhar(V.P), Mohit Singh Khati, Naina Agarawal, Syed Aamir Ali.
Code GenX
Formed in 2012, today CodeGenx has more than 200 members from various departments of DIT University. It has been established in the university with a mission to enhance coding skills and sharing knowledge. It focuses on learning and career enhancement for all its student-members while inspiring and nurturing them to integrate into the IT community.
Technotron '12
The CSI-DIT chapter has always been a very active student club since it started in DIT, organizing various technical as well as cultural activities round the year. The month of April 2012 also witnessed the hardwork of CSI club which had organized a 3-days technical fest ‘Technotron 2012’ in DIT campus from 12th April to 14th April 2012. TECHNOTRON, organised by the CSI Club was focused to find the hidden technical abilities of DITians. Paper presentation, junkyard wars, coding masters, Ecollege, Crack the Code, Language (C, C++, Java) based Quiz provided a good platform for the students to showcase their technical skills, guest lecturers on hacking, cloud computing, Android attracted a large number of students. |

Indian Collegiate club
Students of the Department have established the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Club. SAE is a global organization divided into country subsidiaries like SAE India, SAE Brazil etc. The SAE club has completed five years of existence successfully and continues to enhance the technical environment in the college by inviting experts from renowned industries and organizing expert lectures.
Plexus 2013
Plexus is an insignia of a rich tradition where knowledge is bestowed upon in legacy from one batch to the other. Plexus ‘13 was primarily aimed at improvising and invigorating the previous edition of Plexus and was an amalgamation of the envisioned goals of two of the most prestigious students clubs of college, SAE and IEEE. Plexus ‘13 was organized to tender flexibility as far as choice of participation is concerned. Events that pertain to almost all the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Electrical Engineering were included. The registration process was completely online and more importantly the number of entries had exceeded the expected figure. Plexus 2013 was inaugurated in the gracious presence of Executive Director, Dean Academics and the Registrar, DIT University.

The ‘Pills Club’ at DIT - Faculty of Pharmacy celebrated the 51st NPW celebration on ‘Role of Pharmacist in Public Health’ in December 2012 in collaboration with the Uttarakhand State IPA branch.
In first week of Dec. 2012 teams of faculty and students have visited Purkul and near by villages and created awareness about “Do you know?” series1 on complication of tobacco used and benefits of quitting tobacco to the village stake holders by door to door counseling. |

SPIC MACAY DIT Chapter
DIT inaugurated its newly opened chapter of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) in April 2012 with a splendid performance by India's ace flautist, Pt Ronu Majumdar. Several events were conducted in which, artists of national and international cadre were invited to perform at DIT. Some of them are Purulia Chau, Classical Vocal by Rupan Sarkar, and Carnatic Violin by Kumaresh & group. The next milestone in this journey would be organizing a three day musical festival 'Virasat'. |
